Hello Sussex REC members! Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative's Annual Meeting Event will be kicking off soon. Our Online Meeting is coming up on July 7th, on this very webpage! Then, you can look forward to our in-person Member Appreciation Event at the Fair on August 4th!
Utility scams are common because of the vast number of utilities that exist, and consumers are understandably anxious at the idea of their utility notifying them of a sudden, unexpected disruption to their service. Secondly, new products and services in the energy industry provide an opening for scammers and pop-up companies to provide misleading information or shady products and services.
Capital credits are the margins that Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative, as a member-owned, at-cost organization, allocates to our members as a return on their equitable investment into the Co-op. When finances permit, capital credits are retired to members based on how much electricity each member used in a given calendar year.
