Our August issue of Currents, our monthly member newsletter, has been sent out by mail and is now available online!
In this issue of Currents, CEO Chris Reese writes a retrospective on this year's Youth Tour trip. For those who don't know, every year Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative sponsors a trip to Washington, D.C. for a group of local high school juniors. New Jersey's group travels to join over 1,700 other students from 45 other states on this unforgettable journey to our nation's capital, where they see the sights, learn the history, and meet their representatives. If you'd like to learn more about Youth Tour, visit our Youth Tour page.
As CEO, Chris Reese has written about Youth Tour before, but this time it's made more personal thanks to the fact his daughter was among our Youth Tour students this year! The perspective he brings makes this an issue of Currents you don't want to miss!
Additionally, this issue of Currents is calling on you, our members, to take your seat at the table! We are currently accepting volunteers for our Member Advisory Committee, or MAC. This group of members are a vital link in communication between the Co-op and our other members. If you'd like to learn more about MAC or would like to apply, please visit our Member Advisory Committee page.
