Enjoy one of the most unique geological sites in the world right here in Sussex County! Over 340 minerals are present and have been mined here - a world record. Also, more than 80 of these minerals are fluorescent, another world record. Tours are available of the mine and museum on weekends plus you can look for your own minerals most days. Around the Area, Inc. was formed in 2003 by four Sussex County friends and business associates that recognized the need for a centralized means of storing and making available to the public the resources and activities within the County region. The company's mission is to promote these resources via a sophisticated yet easy-to-use web site application known as AroundtheArea.com.

Founded in 1970, Peters Valley is located within the scenic, Delaware Water Gap
National Recreation Area along the Delaware River. We are in the northwest corner of New

Literacy Volunteers of Sussex County (LVSC) is a public benefit organization that has been providing volunteer tutoring services for adults in Sussex County for 20 years. LVSC’s programs include Basic Literacy and/or English as a Second Language.
LVSC is unique in the Sussex County area because our tutoring services are:
- Free
- Confidential
- One-on-one
- Student-centered

Please Note: LVSC's computer program to aid in English skills is now installed at three libraries: Main Library (Frankford), Louise Childs Branch (Stanhope), and Sussex-Wantage. It is easy to use and is available for use by any adult.
Lusscroft Farm is Sussex County's best kept secret, neatly tucked away in the hills of Wantage Township, New Jersey.
The property is located on Neilson Road in Wantage Township and contains 23 buildings including the Turner Mansion, the Manager's Dwelling, the spectacular Outlook Lodge and the dairy barn and farm structures. The land includes fields and pastures, ponds, woodland and various barnyards.
